Tom Rakocevic nominated as the Ontario NDP candidate in Humber River - Black Creek

TORONTO - Tom Rakocevic was joined by over a hundred community members and supporters to accept the nomination to be the Ontario NDP candidate for Humber River - Black Creek for the next provincial election.

“Humber River - Black Creek has been my home for my whole life and it has been a privilege to represent our community at Queen’s Park,” said Rakocevic. “The experiences I have had growing up in this community, where we look out for one another and lift each other up, drove me to seek office in 2018. It is what continues to inspire me to get up every day and fight for a better future, one that works for all of us. I am honoured to run to represent my home and to fight for a better future with the Ontario NDP!”

“Tom always puts community first,” said Marit Stiles, Ontario NDP leader, who joined Rakocevic’s nomination. “Tom’s work to fight for the rights of consumers across our province, take on unfair and predatory practices that target vulnerable communities, and relentless dedication to bringing his community’s voice to Queen’s Park, is what makes him instrumental to the movement that we are building. I am so proud to have Tom on our team, and to join him as we fight to deliver a brighter, better future for the people of Ontario!”
